Hive of Activity
Just off the roundabout at Ayia Triada, two mins walk from Trinity Beach, with gorgeous sweeping views of the sea, is this wonderful traditional British Pub with a truly international clientele, that’s a hive of activity day and night … Barbara and Simon, aka Simon the Pie Man come from the Green Isle and good old Irish hospitality came with them, in abundance !!!
Inside or Out
There’s a warm and welcoming atmosphere inside, with a lovely shaded beer garden outside, and a sun catching terrace out front, with sweeping views down to the sea and a Pool Table, and free WiFi and a lovely log burner to keep you warm on those chilly seaside winter nights! oh not forgetting the function suite next door too if you wanna hold a party or special event …
Pub Grub at its Best
It’s a family run pub with son Ally and daughter in law Adele behind the bar, Simon and Jill in the kitchen and Barbara hmm everywhere … it’s famed for it’s ‘Real Pub Grub’ at reasonable prices and the menu is extensive, one of my fav’s the Cod & Chips, just delicious ! … oh and btw they have introduced lots of Non Alcoholic Drinks this year !!!
Their speciality is Simon’s Pies, and as a Master Baker for over 30 years they are just ‘to die for’ … with too many to choose from, Steak ’n Kidney, Steak ’n Ale, Steak ’n Halloumi or my fav the Tandoori Chicken and for the vegetarian’s choice, Three Cheeses, or choose one of Simon’s Indian or Chinese Dishes … and its all available for Take Away
I just have to mention their fantastic Sunday Lunch, with a choice of three meats, served with all the trimmings … let’s just say it’s hmm, very homely!, btw, booking is highly recommended to avoid disappointment especially for Sunday Lunch.
Activities and Meetings
I really can’t believe how much is going on down here … to keep in touch follow their Facebook Page or check out the posters on the info board … but briefly …

10 am you have the very popular ECL, Eastern Cyprus Ladies Coffee Morning, a chance to get together with the girls for a cuppa and a good natter!
TGI Friday … It’s the start of the weekend so anything can happen …
Its a family affair, so they often get together to remember someone lost, and if you want to send a message, they all set off hot air balloons together, emotional yes, but this is where the Irish come into their element, go see what I mean, and be part of the Bakers Arms family!
On the Big Screens
They love their sports here, so any football night especially on the weekends, on 6 big screens, you’ll get all the Live Sports including, Premiere League, FA Cup, League Cup, Internationals with a lean towards Ireland of course, plus Champions League, Europa League, and F1, Tennis, Athletics, and Boxing … oh and Babs loves her Golf! but hey if you’re really bored?, why not ask her to take you for a game of ‘Around the Triangle’ ?
Much as this lot support Man City, this pub also boasts the first and only Official Rangers Supporters Club in Cyprus, with the Chelsea Rangers Connection in force for every match!
Famagusta Golf Society
The local golf fanatics just hosted their 19th Annual General meeting here and they always welcome new members, with favourable prices when you get a round in, oh and for the golf 😉
Every November on the remembrance Sunday, Babs and the crew host a annual Remembrance Day, it’s the only one of its type in the area and this year it was conducted by Greg West and they were graced by the attendance of the Official Flag Bearer from Akrotiri Bases … btw the event is growing every year so make sure to pop down!
Christmas & New Year
Well the Irish love any reason to have a good party, so expect some crazy parties and the occasional Christmas Mini Market and whatever you do don’t miss the Christmas Carol sing song night, it’s absolutely awesome ! Just wait til you hear their rendition of The Twelve Days of Christmas lmao! Oh and booking is essential for Christmas Day.
Cyprus Rocks Festival
Babs and the crew welcomed all rockers for the second Cyprus Rocks Festival in October, and as the pub overlooks Trinity Beach it’s only a short walk to the main stage, so it’s a great meeting place before and after the nightly events! … oh I’m hearing rumours they got a few things planned as always 😉
They welcome inquiries for parties and charity events with a separate function room, and huge off street car park and the best buffets you’ll ever taste and of course traditional Irish hospitality …
Open all year
Daily, 9.30 am ’til late, very late
You’ll find them on Tinou Street, off the fork, excuse the pun, on the approach road to Trinity Beach, just off the roundabout in Ayia Triada, Paralimni …
Hmm on the day’s that nothing happens, something is probably happening?
