Lazy Day Cruise on Aphrodite II

The Lazy Day Cruise on Aphrodite ll, Ayia Napa, Launched 1972

It’s a really lazy day !
Aphrodite II is one of the most beautiful boats in Ayia Napa’s harbour, a true goddess on the med … she just looks so elegant cruising along the rugged coastline to Famagusta, one of my favourite cruises, and btw, everyone disembarks with a smile on their face!

The Crew
John, Maid Marion, Svetlana and the whole crew excel hospitality to the extreme. I mean, this crew are just a fluid team that have been together for twelve seasons now, and they just keep getting better.  The compliments that this crew get are exemplary, just check out over 1,500 Reviews on Trip Advisor!

Chill out on the med
The Lazy Day Cruise didn’t get its name by accident … it really is a lazy cruise in comparison to one or two other party boats that set sail from the same harbour, please don’t get me wrong, they are awesome trips too, but The Lazy Day Cruise is more designed for families who want to chill out on the med, much as the cruise caters for all ages and many who go on the party boats also book this trip towards the end of their holidays, coz they have to chill sometime 😉

Blue Lagoon
This is the longest running cruise in Cyprus.  Captain Skevos sets sail at 10:45 am daily, up to 150 passengers chill out on the three decks, on top is the sun deck with free sunbeds, on the middle deck, the lounge and bar, and free WiFi … So log on, grab a drink, and it’s off for a wonderful cruise to see the legendary Ghost City of Famagusta.  First swim stop
is the amazing Sea Caves, so don’t forget your camera and then the tranquil Blue Lagoon at Cape Greco.  Onto eerie, empty, Famagusta, then back via the idyllic Konnos Bay.  You can make use of the free snorkel equipment, dive off the decks, sip an ice-cool cocktail or just top up the tan!

Lunch is available onboard and it’s cooked fresh by Chef Magdi.  Choose either roast chicken with roast potatoes and fresh seasonal vegetables or as you board, just let them know you’d prefer a vegetarian meal.  There’s a fully stocked bar to help keep you refreshed.  I just love the banter between the bar staff lmao! oh and there’s life jackets available if you’re not a sailor, with nice loos and showers on the lower deck.

The cruise is guided in 5 languages, English, German, Russian, Arabic and Italian.  John is your host extraordinaire, and your DJ, and he’s put together a really wicked selection of happy, chill out summer tracks from the ’70s and ’80s promising to top up with some ’90s this season!
