British

Tipsy Turtle, Your Friendly Local, Pernera

0
I loved this place the moment I saw the name, ... It's a British Style pub, from the outside all white and doors, really cool signage and some comfy seating to enjoy a drink in the late sunny afternoons and watch the world go by, hanging baskets and signs, inside, pristine, all wood and red brick, spacious with comfy seating, over to the right a separate games area, with pool table, and regular Killer Pool and darts board and they are just about to start a team and a Bar Football table ... both Pool and Darts have winter leagues, so go ask if you can join the team or maybe add one?

Bedrock Cafe, Ayia Napa

It looks stunning from outside, recreated to look like the inside of a cave, with huge Dinosaur bones, arches and skeleton relics everywhere and I just love the Lizard stools ... all the crew are dressed up in character and of course Fred parked the Flintstones car outside, so don't forget to get a selfie or two ! Oh, there's big screens for all the live sports and a pool table and a cool beer garden with cool kid's play area out back.

Tiki Bar, Ayia Napa

... with Aztec style features, neon paint everywhere and a sound system to blow your socks off ...

The Octagon, Vrysoules

It was busy when I arrived so I took a little space at the bar to chat to Kieran as I watched this well-oiled team working, maintaining health and hygiene protocols with masks and gloves … Kieran explained in fact, they are open every day with a full varied menu and they welcome local, expats and tbh absolutely everyone … he said "we are trying to put traditional Cypriot hospitality back into fun environment" …

Wine & Dine in the Gardens, Protaras

It's getting busier down here these days, with such a choice of cuisines and ambience,  many non residents are taking advantage of such a wonderful setting with a delightful backdrop and you don't have to make your mind up which one of them you'll visit first!

Grand Slam Inn, Kapparis

0
The Grand Slam is a family run British style boozer, it's even on the corner, on the sunny side of the road, and once known as The Corner Pin, inside it looks busy, with quirky little designs mostly mums doing, I just love the Table Tops they're well cool ... There's music memorabilia all over the place with a professional light and sound system, a well stocked bar, with a lovely front terrace onto Kapparis Avenue ... it's a great stop off for an afternoon drink, good pub grub, and there's something happening here almost every night!

Square Bar & Cafe, Ayia Napa

0
... But tbh, The Square Bar is probably better known for the entertainment and live music played here every night from 8.30 pm 'til late.  That's mostly down to Peter and Rob, of the legendary 'Live Lounge' Cardiff fame, who partnered up with Panicos in 2014 to bring you the very best in live bands, duo's and solo artists ... Check out their Reviews, oh and, go early to avoid disappointment, coz following all health and safety protocols this place gets really busy!

Olympus Restaurant, Protaras

I met Flouris in his early days at Good Fortune Restaurant in Ayia Napa.  Now in a prime position at the top of the strip in Protaras, son Andreas has joined the family business and together they make an awesome team, bringing you that traditional Cypriot hospitality that made Cyprus famous ... putting first class customer service as their number one priority !

Footloose Karaoke and Sports Bar, Ayia Napa

0
It's on the entrance to Bar street, and it's one of the oldest bars in Napa. Andreas and Karina, who are completely 'down to earth' absolutely love their pub and have continued it's 30 year tradition by being one of the few bars that stay open all year and naturally it's a favourite with locals and long stay workers and of course they look after anyone that wants to join them , it's sort of one big happy family !

Potamos Fish Restaurant, Liopetri

0
It's a picturesque setting, with the restaurant literally on the riverbank, overlooking the fishing shelter, on the estuary of the Liopetri River aka 'Potamos', with stunning views stretching all the way to Cape Greko.  Inside, traditional, comfortable seating, fresh fish fridges, old photos on walls, and outside on the terrace with decking, where their two fishing boats are docked, seating for around 150 diners, lined with umbrellas for a little shade, and with the sea just a few metres away. you couldn't find a more perfect setting to eat fish!  btw, Haris and Margaritas' grandfather Nicolas opened this delightful beachside location in Potamos 50 years ago, so all the local fishermen could enjoy their days' catch, and btw, they still do.
