The Octagon, Vrysoules

It was busy when I arrived so I took a little space at the bar to chat to Kieran as I watched this well-oiled team working, maintaining health and hygiene protocols with masks and gloves … Kieran explained in fact, they are open every day with a full varied menu and they welcome local, expats and tbh absolutely everyone … he said "we are trying to put traditional Cypriot hospitality back into fun environment" …

Situated just to the right of Ayia Napa Harbour, a little more serene, relax out front in modern chilled ambience, or under the huge covered terrace and gardens out back, overlooking the med ... it really is a perfect place to enjoy premium seafood delights and there's a huge pristine lawn and a play area for the kids with swings, trampolines, tunnels, slides and things ... Check out their promo Video ...

To’ Nissiotiko Taverna, Protaras

They serve traditional Cypriot cuisine or as Artimaki says ''pure horthiatiko'' or village style in English, and the food is always made fresh, so it'll take at least 20 minutes to be served, but let me just say; its worth every minute !

Sirena Bay Beach Bar & Restaurant, Pernera

An eatery of the highest esteem, I love the crazy paved terrace, shaded by tall mature trees, that twinkle delightfully as the sun sets, the crazy colourful tables and chairs, almost kindergarden'ish, little alcoves of comfy seating, hammocks set up high in the trees, whilst down a tier, skirting the rocks, a pathway leading to the almost private beach on the left, that'll have mellow music and waiter service and there's plenty of sunbeds, all with a view to die for, a sea of serenity at Sirena Bay ...

Mr. Tzatziki Snack Bar, Ayia Napa

Specialising in Pork or Chicken Souvlaki cooked over real charcoal nice and slowly … They’re getting good vibes about their Gyros made with pork, beef, lamb or chicken using the family recipe, marinated for two days before being slow cooked on the Rotisserie … served in Greek or Cypriot Pitta Bread, with salad and a selection of sauces … but I must say I wanna try the Steak in a Bun next …

Rialto Theatre, Limassol

Standing proud at the top of Hero's Square, right in the heart of Limassol, a place where people gather, in days of old a mix of Greek and Turkish Cypriots, apparently once a red light district, now a mix of popular stylish bar's and eateries, and as the decline of cinema in the 80's inspired the new Rialto Theatre, that launched in 1999 and helped to develop the area into a hive of activities, cultural or not!

Senso Cafe Bar, Paralimni

This is without doubt, one of my fav places to sit and watch the world go by ...

Maccadam All Day, Bar, Paralimni

Over a delicious cappuccino, my old friend 'Tommy' explained: "We wanted to set the ambiance something like you're sitting in a vintage style cafe, on the Kolonaki in Greece, the music relaxed, Mykonos style, with a little live sax now and then and the menus half Greek, half Cypriot, inspired by the irreplaceable chemistry of two top chefs ...

Just Italian Ristorante, Kapparis

I've been eating here since they opened and its definitely one of my favourites. These days they're swinging towards a Wine Bar Ristorante, combining a modern family atmosphere in a minimalist design setting, it's cool and breezy through the summer and warm and welcoming in the winter with one of the best kitchens in Cyprus!

Koursaros Music Bar, Protaras

... I love the tall beer barrel tables and stools, and inside, its all wood, a cozy atmosphere, it's intimate, cool chandeliers, music posters, comfy seating and rock stuff all over the place ... excellent service, oh and a really cool ambiance that's created by lots of like-minded, live music, rock, blues and occasionally jazz freaks, of all ages and nationalities ...
